caught the sneak preview of "The Kingdom" on sat its a pretty fabulous movie. worth a trip to the cinema!
watched last sun & this sun's episode of "Extreme Makeover Home edition" on channel 5. the show talked about the native american war veterans & how they had contributed to WWII also watch the movie "Windtalkers" a movie about WWII and how the native americans were roped in to fight for their nation got to know about how the native american's language helped saved many lifes of the american soldiers during WWII. during that period of time, the japanese were able to break the codes used by the american military pretty fast, BUT the code used by the "codetalkers" , it is the only code that has never been broken "codetalkers" , who were of native america background, were trained to relay messages in their native tongue & in that, was another code therefore, only the ones who knew the native american language AND were being trained to know the various codes could break the code
"The Kingdom" is about the actions of the extremists tt resulted in mass killings involving americans and "Windtalkers" about WWII both showing how human races kill one another. kind of tragic.
